The HUET course/component includes preparing for aircraft ditching, undertaking evacuation from an aircraft, conducting rescue recovery process, and controlling survival hazards.

AVIF0039 Utilise emergency breathing system

 	
The EBS course/component includes preparing an EBS for use, operating an EBS and completing EBS post-operational procedures. This can be taken separately or as part of your HUET.

Successful completion will result in the issue of a Statement of Attainment in AVIF0038 Undertake aircraft underwater escape and survival.

2. Combined HUET with EBS Course 

 	
One day duration 08:00 – approx. 17:00
 	
Cost: $1,450.00 AUD (GST free) per person

Successful completion will result in the issue of Statements of Attainment in AVIF0038 Undertake aircraft underwater escape and survival and AVIF0039 Utilise emergency breathing system.

The EBS Course is also available as a standalone unit, 3 hours duration, $600.00 AUD (GST free).

PLEASE NOTE: If completing EBS we strongly recommend a no-fly period of 12 hours immediately post-course.[/course_content][course_content headline="PREREQUISITES"]Must be over 18 years of age.

Must be fluent in English language (writing, reading, speaking, listening).

Must be able to swim 15 metres and tread water for 60 seconds without assistance.

Must be in good physical health. All participants will be required to complete a medical declaration and waiver prior to attendance, to identify any pre-existing medical conditions of concern. A doctor's approval to participate may be requested, prior to course attendance.
